  • Firearms Safety Certification Course

  • The Salisbury Police Department offers a free basic firearms safety certification course to Salisbury residents only!

    This course is mandatory for any new license to carry applicant in the Commonwealth.

    You DO NOT have to take the course offered by the Salisbury Police. You can view the list of certified instructors and choose where you prefer to attend. See link below.
    Basic Firearms Safety Instructors

    The SPD proudly offers this free course as a community service to Salisbury residents.

    NEXT CLASS:
    TO be posted in June and to be held at the police station.

    You must sign up via the hyper link to the email listed below. If you receive a confirmation email response, then you are all set. If you do not receive a reply email, the class is FULL. I will keep you on the wait list if any vacancies open up and will close the class roster the day before.

    You must be at least 18 years of age and must be a Salisbury resident.

    **DO NOT bring any firearms or ammunition to this class!!

  • Project Child Safe

    PROJECT CHILDSAFE
    Is a nationwide program to promote safe firearms handling and storage practices among all firearms owners. Child safety locks will distributed (in limited quantities) to those in attendance who request one. A short informational DVD and program handouts are part of the presentation. Certificates will be awarded to children in attendance.
